Aberdeen, S.D. – After clinching their fourth-consecutive win, the Northern State University women's basketball team will begin Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play this weekend against MSU Moorhead. The Wolves enter the contest 4-0, assisting head coach
Curt Fredrickson in picking up his 800
th career victory.
NSU is coming off a 71-45 road win against Nebraska, Kearney on Monday night. As a team the Wolves are now shooting 49.2% from the floor, 40.0% from the arc, and 75.0% from the foul line, while averaging 64.5 points, 34.0 rebounds, 17.0 assists, 16.8 turnovers, 4.8 steals, and 4.0 blocks per game.
Jill Conrad continues to lead the team in points (66), scoring average (16.5), defensive rebounds (5.8), and free throws made (4.0). Likewise,
Miranda Ristau is second on the team in scoring (14.0), but leads the team in rebounds (27), rebound average (6.8), offensive rebounds (2.0), and blocked shots (1.8).The pair have combined for 122 of the team's 258 points this season.
The Wolves and the Dragons will tip-off from Wachs Arena at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 26th, with the men's game to follow.
