Wolves Continue Road Action Against the Lopers

Aberdeen, S.D. – After going 2-0 from the Yellow Jacket Classic, the Northern State women's basketball team will continue action on the road against Nebraska, Kearney. The Wolves are currently 3-0 in the 2016-17 season with victories over Black Hills State and Montana State, Billings.
 
Junior Jill Conrad aided the Wolves in their weekend wins as the tournament MVP. Conrad received the award for her 43 total points and 16 rebounds, shooting 57.0 percent from the floor.
 
Both Miranda Ristau and Brianna Kusler had career-high games, as Ristau recorded 25 points against Montana State, Billings and Kusler tallied 13 against Black Hills State.
 
The Wolves will look to extend their win-streak against the Lopers, and help Coach Curt Fredrickson earn his 800th career victory. The two teams will tip-off on Monday at 6 p.m. from the Health and Sports Center in Kearney, Neb.

  • The Lopers are currently 1-3 overall in the 2016-17 season, defeating Grace University 84-23.
  • As a unit, UNK is shooting 35.3 percent from field goal range, 26.4 percent from the three-point arc and 74.6 percent from the foul line.

  • Carrie Eighmey was named Nebraska, Kearney's head coach in March of 2015. In her first season with the program, Eighmey led the Lopers to a 16-14 overall record.
