Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University women's basketball team will begin regular season action this Tuesday against the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets. The Wolves look to continue their early success after an 81-39 victory over Concordia Moorhead in exhibition play last Wednesday.
NSU shot 47.1% from the floor and 41.7% from the arc in the match, with a total of 13 different Wolves scoring in the game. As a team, the Wolves notched 25 second chance points off 26 rebounds and scored 25 points off the bench, 38 points in the paint, and 20 points off 12 turnovers.
Miranda Ristau led the Wolves offensively, scoring 22 points in 15 minutes of action. Ristau shot 83.3 percent from the floor, collected five total rebounds and recorded six blocks.
NSU will tip-off with the Yellow Jackets at 6 p.m. from Wachs Arena, followed by the men's basketball game versus SMSU at 8 p.m.
