Live AudioAberdeen, S.D.- The Northern State women's basketball team leaps into NSIC action after completing five non-conference games on the road. NSU has tallied a 4-1 overall record in the 2015-16 season, defeating William Jewell College, Black Hills State University, Metro State University and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.
Early in the season, sophomores
Jill Conrad and
Miranda Ristau have recorded career highs in points per game and rebounds. Conrad averages 15.3 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of 64.4. Ristau help lead the Wolves to a 75-69 victory against UCCS with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Senior
Lauren Deadrick has also been a threat averaging 9.0 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
In their five match-ups, the Wolves have averaged 66.2 points per game, and have recorded a shooting percentage of 44.8 as a team. NSU has outrebounded their opponents in every contest, nabbing 215 total.
The Wolves will travel to Moorhead to take on MSUM from the Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow night.
About Minnesota State Moorhead• Minnesota State University Moorhead enters the match-up with the Wolves after three non-conference contests in the 2015-16 season; defeating Northwest Nazarene 92-88 in overtime, Central Missouri 63-58, and Mayville State 95-71.
• The team compiled an overall record of 17-12 just a season ago.
• MSUM is led by head coach Karla Nelson in her 15th season with the program. Nelson has tallied a career record of 240- 159 with the Dragons.
