Aberdeen, S.D. - After a 52-49 victory over Black Hills State University on the road, the Northern State women's basketball team will head to down to the Colorado Springs Tournament to face Metro State and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. The team has posted a 2-1 overall record early in the season.

Jill Conrad has exploded for the Wolves in their first three contests, averaging 15.3 points and nine rebounds per game. NSU senior
Lauren Deadrick has also led the way for the team with 11.3 points per game, tallying 27 total rebounds.
The Wolves will take on Metro State University Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Central time and the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.Central time from the Gallogly Event Center.
About Metro State University The Metro State Roadrunners have competed in two non-conference games in the 2015-16 season. Leading statistically for the Roadrunners is sophomore Georgia Ohrdorf, with a 41.7 field goal percentage, 14.0 points per game and an average of seven rebounds per match. Metro State is led by head coach, Tanya Haave, in her sixth season. Haave has recorded an overall recorded of 104-44 (.703) with the Roadrunners.
About University of Colorado-Colorado Springs In their first two match-ups of the season, the UCCS Mountain Lions defeated Oklahoma Christian 80-60 and fell to Newman University 64-71. The Mountain Lions have three different players averaging double digit points per game, including Brittany Hernandez with 19.0 ppg, Jen Vigil with 12.0 ppg and Shanah Leaf with 10.0 ppg. Shawn Nelson is in his first season as the Mountain Lions' head coach.
