Aberdeen, S.D. – The no. 15 Northern State University women's basketball team returns to action at home this weekend versus Bemidji State and Minnesota Crookston. The Wolves will take on the Beavers at 6 p.m. on Friday, and the Golden Eagles at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The Wolves are coming off a tough weekend on the road at Southwest Minnesota State and University of Sioux Falls. Northern fell in both games, dropping to 15th in the national rankings, and second in the NSIC overall standings. Rachel Krogman has held strong as a leader in the league in points per game, blocks and rebounding. She continues to lead the Wolves with a 14.9 points per game average. Despite the fumble, Northern continues to lead the nation in scoring defense at 49.6. NSU had shined this season when shooting above 40 percent and working to their three bigs under the basket, Stotesbery, Mutchler, and Krogman. Cutting down on turnovers and continuing to out-rebounded their opponents are also crucial for the Wolves in securing a victory. A weekend at the Wachs is just what the women need to bounce back into the winning ranks.
