Live VideoAberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University women's basketball team travels to MSU Moorhead this Saturday, for their final game before the holiday break. The Wolves and Dragons will tip-off at 4 p.m., Saturday, from Nemzek Fieldhouse. Northern is 10-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play.
The Wolves split the road weekend versus Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State. The Friday night win over the Bulldogs propelled the Wolves to ten straight on the year.
Rachel Krogman recorded 14 points and 11 rebounds in the victory. NSU shot 51.9 percent from the floor led by
Sadie Stotesbery who went 6-for-11, with one three point basket. The Huskies derailed the Wolves win streak in night two, taking the game 62-54 from their home court. Stotesbery led NSU with 14 points in the match-up, while Krogman tallied her seventh double-double of the season. The Wolves struggled from three-point range going 2-for-14 in the loss. Seven more Huskies treys led to the Wolves demise as they fell by eight in the game. NSU shot under 40 percent for only the second time this season in the game. Northern looks to bounce back this Saturday in their final regular season match-up with the Dragons.
About MSU MoorheadThe Dragons are coming off a weekend spilt with SCSU and UMD, with a 78-69 win over the Bulldogs and 62-79 loss versus the Huskies. Since their last contest with the Wolves, MSUM has recorded two more wins versus Minot State and University of Mary, earning themselves a fourth place standing in the NSIC North.
Wolves vs. DragonsNorthern is 43-21 in its history versus MSUM. Earlier this season the Wolves defeated the Dragons 74-42 from Aberdeen.
Rachel Krogman scored her 1,000 career point as she racked up 21 total in the game, adding ten rebounds.
Lauren Deadrick hit the boards for a career high 13 rebounds on the night. MSUM was led by Roehrich with 13 points, while the team shot a mere 22.4 percent from the floor.
