CROOKSTON, Minn.- A career high 38 points by Jodi Reinschmidt helped Northern State (8-5, 5-4 NSIC) defeat Minnesota Crookston (5-7, 2-6 NSIC) in a 82-74  decision.

Reinschmidt's 38- point contribution is the most by a NSU player since Jammie Coyle scored 37 points on Nov. 7, 1999 against Francis Marion University.

Within the first three minutes of the second half, the Wolves fought back within a point of the Golden Eagles at 42-41 on a score in the paint from Krista Rabenberg.

A pair of free throws from Reinschmidt at 16:31 gave NSU their first lead of the second half, but a small run by UMC gave the Golden Eagles the upper hand at 11 minutes with a score of 57-51.

The Wolves answered that with six unanswered points spurred by a Jenna Higgins jumper in the paint. NSU held the lead 59-58 at nine minutes.

The Golden Eagles held their final lead of the game when they led 61-59. Another three from Kusler and jumper from Reinschmidt gave the Wolves the lead for the rest of the game.
