ABERDEEN, S.D. – The Northern State University women's basketball team continued their stingy defensive play Friday, and held a high-scoring Southwest Minnesota State offense to 20 points under their season average en route to a convincing 66-57 victory at Wachs Arena.

With the win, Coach Curt Fredrickson earns his 649th career victory and the Wolves improve to 5-3 on the year and 2-1 in the Northern Sun.
Northern State finished with 32 points in the paint, and for the first time this season failed to have their bench score more than 20 points, as they were held to 13 in this contest.
The Wolves had three players finish in double figures for scoring, led once again by sophomore Jodi Reinschmidt's third double-double of the season. Reinschmidt finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, as well as recording two blocks, two assists, one steal, zero turnovers and also shot 67% from the field (6-9) and a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line. The 15 points is a career-high for Reinschmidt.
Lennea “L-Boogie” Mueller also finished with 15 points, which stands as her new career-high as well. She also added four rebounds, three assists on 6-10 shooting including 1-2 from deep.
Krista Rabenberg was the third member of the Wolves to finish in double figures with her 11 point night to which she added six rebounds and two blocks on 5-8 shooting.
The Wolves take on a high-scoring Minnesota State Mavericks squad tomorrow at the Barnett Center with a game time slated for 6:00 p.m.
