ABERDEEN, S.D. – The University of Mary's Nicci Landdeck stole the show in a locally televised game between the Marauders and Northern State on Saturday evening.  4,413 fans watched as Landdeck dumped in 33 points and led U-Mary to a 64-53 win at Wachs Arena.  NSU's Jaclyn Arns used a career high night to keep the Wolves in the game, sinking six threes The Marauders are second in the NSIC with a 12-5 overall record and a 7-2 conference mark.  The Wolves are 8-10 overall and 4-5 in league play.

The Marauders gained the early edge in the game behind the play of senior forward Landdeck.  Landdeck hit a three-point shot and then completed an old fashioned three-point play to put the Marauders up 24-16 with eight minutes to play in the half.  She finished the half with 23 points.

Nine quick points for the University of Mary gave the visitors a 12 point lead before Arns got NSU on the second half stats with a three-pointer.  The shot was just the first in a flurry of long range action; the teams combined for five straight three-point shots with the final going to U-Mary and setting the score at 51-42 at the six minute mark.

As much as Landdeck controlled the scoring for the Marauders throughout the game, Arns took care of putting points on the board for the Wolves.  This was especially important as the Marauders held Noelle Hall scoreless in the final 20 minutes.  Arns nailed five threes in the second half alone and scored 17 of the team's 20 points in the period.

Aside from Arns, the Wolves truly struggled shooting in the second half.  They had just seven field goals for a meager 24.1% from the field.  The University of Mary forced 19 total turnovers in the game and wrapped up the second half with a 43.5% shooting mark.  They took the game 64-53.
