Pre-NSU: Gus Radel is a 6-foot-2, outfielder out of Roosevelt High School and the University of Minnesota. As a prep he was a starter and letter winner for the Rough Riders before going on to play three seasons for the Golden Gophers. While at Minnesota, Radel made eight appearances on the mound, pitching a total of 7.0 innings and throwing three strikeouts. He is the son of Chad and Angie Radel.
