2021: Appeared in 24 games, making 16 starts… Hit .232 with 13 hits, one double, and one homerun… Tallied seven RBI and six runs scored… Recorded a .987 fielding percentage with 74 putouts, four assists, and one error…

2020: Appeared in nine games for NSU… Posted a .367 on base percentage… Tallied one hit and one RBI…

2019: In his freshman season, played in 18 games and started in six… Hit .375 on the year with nine hits, one double, eight runs batted in, and six walks… Against Bemidji Stat on April 20, went 2-for-3 with four runs batted in and one double…

Prep: Niko Pezonella is a 5-foot-11, 200-pound catcher out of Galena High School. He is a 3-year starter for the Grizzlies under head coach Beau Walker. Pezonella hit .422 a season ago, as the Grizzlies went 25-15. He was named a second team all-league catcher and the defensive player of the year for Galena. The Grizzlies were the 2017 region champions, finishing as the Nevada State Tournament Runner-up. As a member of the Muckdogs summer program, Pezonella hit .456 in 2017. He is the son of Kim and Mike Pezonella.
