Prep: Maxwell is a 5-foot-10, 210-pound running back out of Brookings High School. He is a 3-year starter and senior team captain for the Bobcats under head coach Lee Schmidt. AS a senior, Maxwell tallied 1,311 yards rushing, 16 touchdowns, and 205 kick return yards. He is a 2-time All-Conference and 2-time All-State selection. Maxwell is a member of the Argus Leader Elite 45 Team and named the South Dakota Most Inspirational Player. The Bobcats went 13-7 in his final two seasons and were the 2014 South Dakota  State Runners-up. Maxwell is also a 4-year letter winner in track and field and earned Academic All-State as a freshmen. He is the son of Yolanda Maxwell.
