Before NSU: Jacob was a team captain for the Spuds this season. Wiedrich focuses primarily on the pole vault and won the event at three meets last season. Wiedrich made 6-of-7 field goal attempts in his career, hitting on a long of 38 yards for Head Coach Kevin Feeney. Wiedrich was named the 2013 Special Teams MVP for the Spuds and also helped lead them to the state playoffs in 2011 and 2012. The Spuds were also section champions those years. Wiedrich also participated in track and hockey at Moorhead High.
