Prep: Devonte Murphy is a 6-foot, 285-pound defensive lineman out of Roosevelt High School. He was a 2-year starter and senior team captain for the Rough Riders under the direction of head coach Kim Nelson. Murphy recorded 94 career tackles, with 9.5 sacks and one interception. He was a 2-time Metro All-Conference selection, 2-time all-state pick, and a 2018 Argus Leader Elite 45 team member. He is the son of Latonia Barbour.
