Pre-NSU: Taite Hensley is a 6-foot-1, right-handed pitcher out of Kelso High School and Centralia College. As a prep he helped lead the Highlanders to a runner-up finish at the state tournament under the direction of head coach Tom D’Aboy. During his senior season Hensley earned second team all-conference honors as an outfielder, playing in 16 games while recording a .356 batting average, 16 hits, and 8 RBI. During his two seasons at Centralia, he made 12 appearances on the mound with 29 innings pitched and a 2-1 record. He totaled 18 strikeouts with the Trailblazers. He is the son of Mike and Tracy Hensley.
