2022-23: Ran to personal bests of 4:10.18 in the mile, 8:51.24 in the 3000m, 2:30.71 in the 1000m, 3:52.43 in the 1500m, 1:53.79 in the 800m, and 15:25.79 in the 5000m… Tallied 17 top-10 finishes and six event victories… Placed in three events at the NSIC Indoor Championships taking fifth in the DMR (10:15.71), sixth in the 1000m (2:32.83), and seventh in the mile (4:16.81)… Took fifth in the 1500m (3:52.71) at the NSIC Outdoor Championships… Broke the indoor school record in the mile (4:10.18) and outdoor school record in the 1500m (3:54.58)…

Prep: Josh Martin is a 6-foot-2 distance runner out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 4-year letter winner for the Golden Eagles under the direction of head coach Greg Murley. Martin is a 4-time all-conference selection and 3-time all-state pick. As a junior, Martin won the State Championship in South Dakota. Aberdeen Central won conference championships in cross country in 2018, 2019, and 2021 and in track and field in 2020. He is the son of Sandy and Donald Martin.
