Prep: Braiden Nelson is a 5-foot-10, 174-pound wrestler out of Aberdeen Central High School. He is a 5-year letter winner and senior team captain for the Golden Eagles under head coach Merle Aske. He holds a career record of 136-16 for the Golden Eagles. Nelson is the 2016 and 2017 State Champion at 182-pounds. In 2016 he went 44-1 on the year with 33 pins. He was a member of the 2014 State Championship team coached by current NSU head coach Rocky Burkett where he also tallied a fourth place finish individually. Nelson is also on All-Conference outside linebacker for the Golden Eagle football team.  He is the son of Paula and Sandy Nelson.
