2011: Appeared in 15 games, started two…batted .263 (5-19)…recorded a pinch-hit, RBI single vs. Augustana (4/8/11)…batted 2-3 with two RBI singles vs. Upper Iowa (5/8/11).

2010: Appeared in 24 games, starting 22…recorded assists on seven runners trying to steal…posted a .972 FLD%…went 3-5 with his first NCAA home-run, a two-run shot, three runs scored and four RBI vs. Concordia St. Paul (4/7/10).

2009: Appeared in 19 games, starting 11…batted .270 in 37 at-bats…batted .333 (8-24) in NSIC games only…recorded a pinch-hit, RBI double and scored a run vs. #23 Wayne State (4/19/09)…went 2-2 with two RBI and a run scored vs. #23 Wayne State (4/20/09)…went 2-2 at the plate vs. #30 St. Cloud State (4/26/09).

Pre-NSU: Coates was eligible to play American Legion baseball in 2009 for the Rapid City Post #320 Stars…during the 2009 season, he batted .331 in 127 at-bats with 10 doubles and a homer.
