Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State baseball wrapped up their series against Minnesota State Mankato with a double-header Saturday. The Wolves drop both games on senior day to the Mavericks.

- Mankato got on the board early with one run in the first
- The Wolves threatened as Dillon Castellanos was walked to first then Drew Benson doubled to left field; Castellanos was tagged out trying to take home to tie the game
- Three NSU batters were left on base in the first inning
- MSU put up a run in the third and in the fourth; they blew the game open with 10 runs in the top of the fifth inning on two hits
- The Northern offense went three up, three down in three innings
- Josh Steinwandt came in to pitch in the bottom of the fifth; he allowed no hits and no runs over 2.1 innings to close out the game

- MSU added two more in the top of the third and the top of the fifth, along with a solo run in the sixth to go ahead 10-0
- A long throw from center field by Jordan Hull set Gehrig Larrigan up for a tag out at home, keeping the Mavericks from adding to their lead
- Minnesota finished their scoring with three runs in the top of the seventh
- Danny Sanchez got things rolling for the Wolves in the final inning with a double to center field
- An Easton Rerick single advanced Sanchez to third base while Scott Jussila brought him home with a single, NSU gets on the board
- Austin Reiter batted in Rerick on the next at bat to wrap up the game's scoring; Wolves fall 13-2
