Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field took to action in the Dewey Donat Classic Thursday. Both the men's and women's teams recorded multiple provisional marks, personal records, and first place finishes.
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN
- First in the javelin throw was secured by Levi Reis and his 63.98m mark
- Hitting a provisional mark and ranking No. 4 in the nation was Jayden Munroe and his 7.59m long jump
- Jayden Munroe jumped a 13.60m jump to take second in the event
- Three Wolves finished top-5 in the pole vault; Sam Tremelling in first at 4.92m to earn a provisional, Eli Radtke in second at 4.77m, and Rudi May in third at 4.62
- The top of the men's 5000m was claimed by Taylor Thorson and his 17:13.95 time; second place went to Christian Wells in 18:16.05
- Drew Salfrank and Carter Dingman finished second and third in the 400m with their 48.32 and 49.75 respective times
- Silver and bronze in the steeple belonged to Blake Stoks (11:07.68) and Zach Palmer (11:31.50)
- Jeffery Boschee had a high jump of 2.00m, taking home third place
- Taking third and fourth in the 800m were Easton Klatt and Zach Terrio; Klatt ran a 1:59.79 and Terrio ran a personal best 2:00.01
- The 100m had two Wolves in the top-5, Ty Kadlec (10.57-third) and Chris Weber (10.60-fourth); they both hit provisional marks
- In the 400m hurdles saw Gracen Hansen take fourth with his personal best time of 54.54; Drew Henricksen came in fifth at 56.06
- Chanden Nieman's 46.66m hammer throw was enough for him to finish in fifth place; he also finished fifth in the shot put, throwing 13.73m for a personal record
- Also in the men's javelin, Damon Roggenbuck came in fifth with his 50.90m mark
- With a 13.56m jump in the triple jump, Eyuel Miftah placed fifth

HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN
- The 3000m steeple saw Jolie Dugan's 12:44.59 secured her first place
- Tayla Dobrenski (high jump) and Macoya Hansen (javelin) both notched provisional marks and first place finishes in their respective events; Dobrinski marked 1.68m and Hansen marked 42.14
- Provisionals and personal records were earned by Alexa Fender in the long jump (5.82m) and Romane Maugest in the pole vault (4.03m)
- Renea Taylor took the gold in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.60; she also got third in the 100m hurdles with her time of 14.21
- Taking the gold in the 5000m was Emaleigh Olesiak as she crossed the line in 19:11.32; Abby Hasart came in third in the event with a time of 19:30.97
- Second in the hammer throw went to Olivia Ashley with her personal best 45.88m throw
- Other women's pole vault finishes included third by Bekah Walz (3,87m), fourth by Gitte Bellemas (3.42m), and fifth by Liz Dunham (3.42m)
- Fourth in the 400m was taken by Kali Norton as she crossed the finish line in 1:00.02
- Also in the javelin was Annaliese Van Zee recording a personal best on the 38.00m fourth place finish
- Brooke Mushatt was fourth in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 45.02m
- 5:42.85 earned Madeline Nye a fifth place finish, while Grace Kuch took fifth with a 12.89m shot put mark
