MELBOURNE, Fla. – Northern State rounded out the Space Coast Games and the nonconference portion of its schedule with two losses as it fell to Saint Anselm, 6-5, and Lewis, 13-3.

- In the Wolves' close loss to Saint Anselm, the team recorded five runs, eight hits, three RBIs, two doubles, two stolen bases and one error
- After starting the seventh inning with a 5-1 lead, the Hawks flipped momentum, chalking up a five-run inning to take the game
- After a three up, three down for the Wolves, the Hawks put the first run on the board in the bottom of the inning with Caitlyn Duquette bringing Brooke Tardugno home on an RBI single
- After Aune Boben singled to center and stole second, Corina Coppersmith reached first on an error, advancing Boben home
- Northern State kept the momentum going in the fourth, tallying four runs in the inning
- Hailey Cota started it off strong with a single and a stolen base before reaching home thanks to Sydney Anderson (pinch hitter for Kinsley Stover) and her single to right field
- Alicia Jeanson sent a shot to center to record an RBI double, bringing in Stover (subbed back in for Anderson) from second
- After Boben advanced Jeanson to third on a groundout, the freshman scored off an error after Madi Jones put the ball into play
- Tevan Bryant racked up the final RBI of the game with a double to bring in Jones
- The Hawks rallied in the seventh, securing five runs and five hits in the bottom of the inning to steal the win

GAME TWO: LEWIS UNIVERSITY 13, NORTHERN STATE UNIVERSITY 3
- The Wolves were upended in their final game of the tournament, giving up 13 runs, the most in a game this season
- NSU recorded three runs, five hits, one triple, four walks, six runners left on base and one strikeout on the mound
- After giving up four runs in the first, the Wolves looked to be mounting a comeback, scoring two runs in the second
- After advancing Cota to third and Stover to second thanks to a sacrifice bunt from Emma Owens, Cota was thrown out at the plate while Kennedy Boyer reached on a fielder's choice and Stover reached third
- Jeanson followed that up with a single to bring in Stover while Boben did the same in the next at-bat, bringing in Boyer from third.
- The Flyers racked up another huge inning following NSU's, recording five runs in the third
- Lewis University hammered a shot over the fence in the fifth, clearing all three bags in the process
- Though Coppersmith brought Boben home after she tripled in the bottom of the fifth, the Wolves were unable to mount a comeback, losing by 10 runs

Northern State's games this weekend have been rescheduled. The Wolves will now play Winona State on Friday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., and Minnesota State on Saturday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Winona State will host the Wolves in Rochester, Minn.
