JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Northern State finished its first day of the Jamestown Tournament 1-1 with a win over UMary and a loss to Jamestown. Through two games, Northern State racked up 21 hits, 12 runs, five doubles, a triple and 12 RBIs with the team hitting a .356 average.

HOW IT HAPPENED (UMary)
- Northern State got out to an early 2-1 lead at the end of the first after a Madi Jones double sent Alicia Jeanson home
- Tevan Bryant returned the favor, sending a shot to left to bring Jones in for their second score of the evening
- After a three up, three down inning from pitcher Mckenzie Wanner, Dessa Bryant tallied an RBI on a hit, sending Aune Boben home
- UMary tied the game at 3-3 in the fifth after a two-run double
- The Wolves responded with three runs of their own, with Jones and Boben scoring on a Tevan Bryant single and a Corina Coppersmith single sending Alysa Lowe in for another
- The Wolves would tack on two more in the sixth with a triple by Jones and a Tevan Bryant RBI to seal the game at 8-3
