Brookings, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field team closed their indoor regular season at the Last Chance Meet Friday. The men and women combined for seven top placings, 23 top-3 finishes, and 20 personal bests.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE MEN

• Chris Weber took the gold in the men's 60m with a time of 6.88
• The 600m saw the Wolves sweep the top-3 spots by Turner Thorson (1:24.28), Gracen Hansen (1:24.52), and Carter Dingman (1:24.76)
• Coming in second place in the 400m was Drew Salfrank, crossing the finish line at 48.39
• In second in the long jump was Jayden Munroe with a distance of 6.82m
• Kaden St. Pierre's 16.63m mark in the men's weight throw earned him third place and a personal best
• A pole vault height of 4.60m put Eli Radtke in third
• A 1.89m mark was enough to get Martins Ogedenbe-Dobies third in the high jump
• Eyuel Miftah finished third in the triple jump with a 12.86m jump

 
BEYOND THE RESULTS

• Two men set a personal best in the 60m hurdles; Greyson Schuetzle at 8.70 and Elias Londahl at 9.31
• Damon Roggenbuck's time of 23.26 in the 200m was enough to earn him a pr
• In the 3000m a 9:18.29 time gave Taylor Thorson a new personal record
• Other personal bests set in the weight throw were Chanden Nieman (15.97m), Ross Kortenbusch (13.79m), Gunner Watson (12.93m), and Marcus Garza (12.05m)
• Kortenbusch also hit a pr in the shot put with a distance of 13.29m, as did Jackson Willis at 11.81m
• Elias Londahl cleared 3.70m on his way to a pr

 
HOW IT HAPPENED FOR THE WOMEN

• The Wolves dominated the pole vault with Romane Maugest getting first (3.85m), Bekah Walz taking second (3.55m) and Gitte Bellemans finishing third (3.55m)
• Kali Norton took another of the first place finishes for Northern with her 1:41.56 600m
• The 3000m saw Abby Hasart's 10:45.71 time take another top spot
• With a distance of 12.82m, Grace Kuch stood atop the standings in the women's shot put
• Getting first and a new personal record in the long jump was Alexa Fender with a 5.59m mark; she also hit a pr in the 60m, crossing the line at 7.83
• Coming in second place in the 60m hurdles was Julia Skari with a time of 9.08; Skari also got second in the 200m in 26.54
• Morgan Sheldon's 1.57m jump in the high jump secured her second
• Second and third place in the triple jump went to Kamryn Schwartz and Emma Schneider with marks of 10.68m and 10.38m respectively
• Third in the long jump went to Grace Tremelling with her 5.12m mark

 
BEYOND THE RESULTS

• The 1 mile saw Jolie Dugan set a 5:20.81 personal best
• Skari's 60m hurdles time earned her a personal record
• Three women set a pr in the weight throw; Andi Mehrer (13.97m), Paige Bishop (13.64m), and Payge Bakker (12.22m)
• Jordan West hit a pr in the women's high jump with a 1.52m mark
