Bemidji, Minn. – The Northern State University men's basketball suffered their second loss of the season to Bemidji State on Thursday. Four Wolves scored in double figures in the contest, however the Beavers went on an 14-5 run to open the second half and pull away from NSU.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Wolves tallied 30 points in the first and 41 in the second, while the Beavers notched 39 in the first and 47 in the second; out-scoring NSU in each half
• Northern shot 48.3% from the floor, 35.7% from the 3-point line, with ten made threes, and 83.3% from the foul line in the game
• The Beavers recorded the category win in rebounding, besting the Wolves 30-24
• Northern added nine assists, two steals, and one block and scored 28 points in the paint, 20 points off the bench, 12 second chance points, and eight points off turnovers
• Bemidji State notched 12 assists, seven steals, and three blocks, scoring 34 points in the paint, ten points off the bench, 11 second chance points, and 9 points off turnovers
• Nelson Reynolds led the team in the game and off the bench with 15 points, knocking down 5-of-7 from 3-point land
• Marshawn Smith and Simon Akena tallied 14 and 12 points respectively, while Joshua Book rounded out the double figure scorers with ten
• Smith, Tobi Obiora, and Ty Rogers each grabbed a team best five rebounds, as Obiora and Book led the team with three assists apiece
• James Glenn and Obiora scored eight and seven points respectively, while Rogers added the final five points in the contest
• With two weeks remaining in the regular season, Northern sits ninth in the overall and third in the North Division standings in the NSIC
