Wayne, Neb. – The Northern State University men's basketball team battled in the second half with Wayne State College Friday evening, ultimately falling to the Wildcats. Wayne State rallied in the final minutes of regulation, grabbing a 79-76 lead with under a minute to play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern was out-scored in each half 43-42 and 43-37, shooting 40.0% from the floor, 33.3% from the 3-point line, and 90.9% from the foul line
- The Wolves out-rebounded the Wildcats 41-30, one of their largest margins of the 2025-26 season, and led the contest with 13 made 3-pointers and 15 assists
- In addition, NSU scored 34 points off the bench, 28 points in the paint, 18 second chance points, and seven points off turnovers
- The Wildcats forced 13 Wolves turnovers, resulting in 24 points, one of the difference makers in the game
- Five Wolves scored in double figures in the win led by James Glenn with 18 points, including four made from beyond the arc
- Ty Rogers and Joshua Book rounded out the starters in double figures with 14 and 11 points respectively, while Book led the team with five assists and added seven rebounds
- Marshawn Smith and Nelson Reynolds tallied 13 and 12 points off the bench respectively, while Benjamin Bowen chipped in with nine
- Tobi Obiora hit the glass for NSU, notching a team best nine rebounds and finished the evening second on the team with four assists
