MEN’S BASKETBALL ADDS ELEVEN TO THE 2026-27 ROSTER

Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern State University head men's basketball coach Matt Wilber announced today the additions of Nic Anthony (Brantford, N.C.), Kellen Artz (Baltic, S.D.), Nic Book (Christchurch, New Zealand), Avery Christensen (Willmar, Minn.), Dane Danielson (Lakeville, Minn.), Cooper Goodbary (Sioux Falls, S.D.), Porter Ihnen (Lennox, S.D.), Camden Kraemer (Bismarck, N.D.), Will Kuhl IV (Hartford, S.D.), Jackson Wadsworth (Hayti, S.D.), and Mason Witt (Alexandria, Minn.)  to the 2026-27 Wolves roster.  
 
"We are excited to add the incoming group of area high school signings along with our three transfers. First and foremost, this is a great group of people that are going to add a lot to our locker room from a personal and team standpoint", noted Wilber. "It is a group that has had a lot of success with their previous high school teams and know how to win. I will always reserve the right to put too much on anyone until they are running around in our maroon and gold, but we are hopeful for the future contributions from this group. Likewise, it will be exciting to get them into the gym with our returners and watch the internal competition shake out as we work to come together to represent Wolves basketball in the best way we can!"
 
Nic Anthony – G, 6-4, 190, Brantford, N.C. / Raleigh Christian Academy / Midland College
Nic Anthony is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard out of Raleigh Christian Academy and Midland College. As a prep, Anthony was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Eagles. He averaged 25.8 points, 8.8 assists, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game. Anthony was the first NACA All-American in program history, scoring 1,000 career points. At the junior college level, Anthony was an all-conference honoree and all-academic recipient.
 
Kellen Artz – F, 6-9, 205, Baltic, S.D. / Baltic HS
Kellen Artz is a 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward out of Baltic High School. He was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Bulldogs under the direction of head coach Alex Langner. Artz averaged 14.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He was a 2-time Big East Conference first team selection and 2026 academic all-state honoree. He is the son of Beth and Chris Artz.
 
Nic Book – F, 6-8, 220, Christchurch, New Zealand / Westfield HS / South Carolina Upstate
Nic Book is a 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward out of Westfield High School and South Carolina Upstate. As a prep, he averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in 2024 and 27.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game in 2021. Book was named to the 2024 Hoosiers Crossroad All-Conference first team. As a freshman at SCU, he appeared in 31 contests averaging 3.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game with a 53.0 field goal percentage. He is the son of Lisa and Ed Book and brother to current basketball student-athlete Joshua Book.
 
Avery Christensen – G, 6-3, 185, Willmar, Minn. / Willmar Senior HS
Avery Christensen is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard out of Willmar Senior High School. He was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Cardinals under the direction of head coach Noah Streed. As a senior, Christensen averaged 23.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.1 steals per game. He was a 3-time all-area and all-conference selection, as well as an all-state honoree as a senior. He is the son of Abby and Aaron Christensen.
 
Dane Danielson – F, 6-6, 225, Lakeville, Minn. / Lakeville North HS
Dane Danielson is a 6-foot-6, 225-pound forward out of Lakeville North High School. He was a 2-year starter and team captain for the Panthers. As a senior, Danielson averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, knocking down a career high 27 points. He was a 2-time South Suburban Conference honoree and a member of the Minnesota Mr. Basketball Top-35 watchlist. He is the son of Greg and Toni Danielson.
 
Cooper Goodbary – G/F, 6-4, 190, Sioux Falls, S.D. / Sioux Falls Christian
Cooper Goodbary is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound guard/forward out of Sioux Falls Christian. He was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Chargers under the direction of head coach Mike Schouten. As a senior, Goodbary averaged 12.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. He was a 2-time all-conference pick and all-state selection. Sioux Falls Christian won the South Dakota State Championship in 2025. In his final three seasons, the Chargers posted a record of 72-4. He is the son of Mike and Tanya Goodbary.
 
Porter Ihnen – G/F, 6-5, 205, Lennox, S.D. / Lennox HS / South Dakota
Porter Ihnen is a 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard/forward out of Lennox High School and the University of South Dakota. As a prep, he was a 4-year starter and team captain for the Orioles. He averaged over 20.0 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, earning three all-conference and all-state awards. Ihnen holds the LHS school records for career points (1,352) and single game points scored (45). He is the son of Heath and Sharese Ihnen.
 
Camden Kraemer – G, 6-1, 265, Bismarck, N.D. / Bismarck Century
Camden Kraemer is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound guard out of Bismarck Century. He was a 2-year starter and team captain for the Patriots under the direction of head coach Darrin Mattern. In his final two seasons, Kraemer averaged over 10.0 points per game and shot 40.0% or better from the floor and the 3-point line. Century won the North Dakota State Championship in 2025 and 2026, posting a record of 50-5. He was an All-WDA selection following the 2025 season. He is the son of Mike and Latifah Kraemer.
 
Will Kuhl IV – F, 6-10, 220, Hartford, S.D. / West Central
Will Kuhl IV is a 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward out of West Central. He was a 2-year starter for the Trojans under the direction of head coach Dave Hollenbeck. As a senior, Kuhl averaged 16.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. He was an all-conference and all-state selection in 2026 with West Central going a perfect 25-0 en route to the South Dakota State Championship. He is the son of Bill Kuhl and Jessica Logue.
 
Jackson Wadsworth – G, 6-3, 25, Hayti, S.D. / Hamlin HS
Jackson Wadsworth is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound guard out of Hamlin High School. He was a 4-year starter and team captain for the Chargers under the direction of head coach Todd Neuendorf. Wadsworth holds the HHS school record for career 3-point field goal percentage, shooting at a 48.0% clip. As a senior, he averaged 21.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. Wadsworth was a 3-time all-conference honoree and 2-time all-tournament team member at the SDHSAA State Tournament. In addition, in 2025-26 he was named the NEC Player of the Year, Watertown Public Opinion Area Player of the Year, SD All-State first team, Spirit of the Su recipient, and a finalist for South Dakota Mr. Basketball. Hamlin won the state championship in 2024 and posted a 103-21 record over the course of his career. He is the son of Travis and Michelle Wadsworth and brother of women's basketball alumna Lexi Wadsworth.
 
Mason Witt – G, 6-0, 175, Alexandria, Minn. / Alexandria Area
Mason Witt is a 6-foot, 175-pound guard out of Alexandria Area. He was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Cardinals under the direction of head coach Forrest Witt. As a senior, Witt averaged 23.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. He shot nearly 50.0% from the floor and 40.0% from beyond the arc. Witt was a 3-time all-conference selection, 2-time Star Tribune All-State team member, and all-tournament selection at the MSHSL Tournament. In addition, he closed out his career as the all-time leading scorer at Alexandria with 2,005 career points. Alexandria won four section championships, three conference championships, and one state championship in his career. He is the son of Forrest and Kelli Witt.
