Jamestown, N.D. – With three in double figures, the Northern State University men's basketball team returned to the win column on Saturday. The Wolves defeated the University of Jamestown for the second time this season, improving to 5-3 in the Northern Sun.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves held full control of the contest scoring 41 points in the first and 45 in the second; the Jimmies did out-score the Wolves 51-45 in the second half, however the 41-26 score swung in Northern's favor
- NSU shot a season high 60.8% from the floor in the game, knocking down six 3-pointers and hitting 18-of-22 from the foul line
- Defensively they held UJ to 40.6% from the floor and 20.7% from the 3-point line, forcing ten turnovers which they converted into 14 points
- The Wolves led the contest with 48 points in the paint and 31 points off the bench, adding eight second chance and nine fast break points
- Jamestown took the rebound contest, 36-28, while Northern recorded ten assists, four steals, and two blocks
- Joshua Book led the team with 19 points, shooting 70.0% from the floor, and dished out a team leading four assists; the only player to record multiple assists in the win
- Simon Akena and Marshawn Smith followed with 17 points each, shooting a combined 54.5% from the floor
- Tobi Obiora led the team off the glass with seven rebounds, followed by Benjamin Bowen with six; the pair each recorded eight points and added one assist
- Ty Rogers and James Glenn rounded out the starters with seven and four points respectively, while Nelson Reynolds added six
