Minnetonka, MN. – The Northern State University baseball team wrapped up their series against Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday afternoon, suffering a 5-4 loss in Game 1 and a 4-1 defeat in Game 2. A late-game rally by the Golden Bears snatched the victory away from the Wolves in the first matchup. In Game 2, CSP capitalized on critical mistakes and key hitting moments, preventing NSU from mounting a comeback. Northern State finished the day with five runs on 11 hits.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Northern State was the first to score with a single to left field by Brennan Phillips that scored Michael Benevides in the top of the first
- Dillon Castellanos extended the Wolves' lead with an infield single that scored Benevides and Nicholas Ochoa to lead by three in the second
- Concordia-St. Paul responded in the bottom of the second with two runs to trail by one
- In the top of the third, Dylan Soulek drove one up the middle for a single that brought in Nick Friedges to lead, 4-2
- After two scoreless innings, CSP tied the game with a double that scored two
- The Golden Bears took the lead in the bottom of the sixth with a single through the right side
- NSU tallied four runs off of seven hits and no errors
- Palmer Boyd recorded the loss in 2.0 innings pitched with three strikeouts against ten batters

- In the top of the ninth, Nicholas Ochoa reached first on a fielder's choice while Dylan Soulek scored to trail by three
