Pittsburg, Kan. – The Northern State University softball team was swept by Nebraska Kearney on Saturday. The Wolves tallied five runs on 12 hits in game one, however, they gave up a big bottom of the fourth to the Lopers. Game two saw NSU struggle to get things going offensively.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Aune Boben led off the day with a double to left and scored two at-bats later on a Madi Jones single up the middle
- Avarie Eagle tacked on another run in the top of the fourth, scoring Alysa Lowe on a single through the right side
- The Lopers busted the game open in the bottom of the frame, notching seven runs on eight hits
- Northern chipped away in the fifth as Dessa Bryant scored Boben on an infield single
- Addy Hobza and Eagle scored for the Wolves in the sixth, coming with in two of the Lopers, however Kearney responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning
- Boben led the team going 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored, and two RBI, while Emma Owens and Eagle added two hits apiece
- Abby Rux suffered the loss in the circle, giving up nine runs, seven earned, on 14 hits with five strikeouts

- Aune Boben tallied the loss giving up nine runs on six hits with two strikeouts
