Warrensburg, Mo. – The Northern State University softball team dropped a pair of 5-inning contests on the road at the University of Central Missouri on Thursday. The Wolves fell behind early in both contests, making it difficult to mount a comeback.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- Northern tallied their two runs in the top of the fourth, however Central Missouri scored three in the first and four in the second, third, and fourth
- Dessa Bryant led off the fourth with a single to right, while Tevan Bryant notched a double to center leaving two in scoring position with one out
- Madi Jones doubled in the in the Bryant sisters on a ball to center for the Wolves two runs in the game
- Aune Boben suffered the loss, giving up three earned runs, while Abby Rux and Dessa Bryant entered in relief
- Tevan Bryant and Jones led the offense with a double apiece, while Dessa Bryant recorded the final hit for NSU

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2
- The Wolves scored first in the night-cap with one run, however the Jennies responded with one in the first and four in the second
- Aune Boben scored on an Emma Owens single through the right side after reaching base via an error in the first
- Central Missouri added nine more runs in the fourth, taking a 14-1 lead
- Brooke Wolf stepped to the plate in the fifth, connecting for a 1-out, pinch-hit double to right center
- The sophomore came around to score on a single to centerfield by Dessa Bryant, however the Wolves were unable to capitalize further leaving three runners on base
- Dessa Bryant led the offense with two hits and an RBI, while Owens added the second RBI in the game
- Abby Rux suffered the loss for NSU, her fifth of the season, giving up 11 earned runs on 13 hits
