Moorhead, Minn. – The Northern State University men's basketball team put together arguably their most solid game of the 2025-26 season this evening, defeating MSU Moorhead on the road. The 24-point victory for the Wolves was the first from Moorhead since the 2023 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite nine lead changes and five tied scores, Northern led 31-26 at the half and out-scored the Dragons 45-26 in the second
- Northern shot a game leading 52.9% from the floor, 46.2% from the 3-point line, and 71.4% from the foul line
- They out-rebounded the Dragons 41-27 and tallied a game leading 17 assists, 12 made 3-pointers, four steals, and two blocks
- NSU scored 24 points in the paint, 19 points off the bench, and nine points off turnovers in the win
- The defense held MSUM field goal percentages of 30.5% from the floor and 25.0% from the 3-point line
- Joshua Book led four Wolves in double figures with 19 points, hitting 6-of-12 from the floor; Book added a team second best seven rebounds and team leading seven assists
- Nelson Reynolds led the team off the bench with 15 points, knocking down 5-of-6 from beyond the arc, while adding three rebounds, one assist, and one steal
- Simon Akena and Ty Rogers rounded out the double figure scorers with 14 and 12 points respectively, shooting a combined 58.8% from the floor
- Akena led the team off the glass with eight rebounds, followed by Book and Tobi Obiora with seven apiece
