Crookston, Minn. – The Northern State University men's basketball team completed the weekend sweep on Saturday, defeating Minnesota Crookston 86-67. With the win, the Wolves improve to 4-3 in the NSIC heading into the holiday break.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves grabbed the lead mid-way through the first half and did not look back. Scoring 38 points in the first and 48 in the second, while the Golden Eagles tallied 31 in the first and 36 in the second
- NSU shot 55.0% from the floor and 31.8% from the 3-point line, leading the contest with a season high 43 points off the bench, as well as 32 points in the paint and nine points off turnovers
- They out-rebounded Crookston 43-to-29 and added 11 assists, seven made 3-pointers, two blocks, and one steal
- Marshawn Smith led the team with a season high 31 points, draining 14-of-18 from the floor, and added a team second best seven rebounds
- The trio of Joshua Book, Ty Rogers, and Nelson Reynolds followed with 13, 11 and ten points respectively in the win
- Tobi Obiora led the team off the glass, matching his career high with 13 rebounds and added nine points
- Simon Akena was second the team with seven rebounds and added seven points and one block
- Book dished out a team leading four assists, while Benjamin Bowen and James Glenn combined for the final five team points
