Chadron, Neb. – The Northern State University men's basketball team's holiday contest went down to the wire with Chadron State on Saturday as the Wolves took the lead with nine seconds to play and the Eagles secured the win with two seconds on the clock.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Wolves led 40-35 at the half, however the Eagles recorded a 39-33 edge in the second, securing their second win of the season
  • Northern shot 40.6% from the floor, 31.3% from the 3-point line, and 77.8% from the foul line in the game; knocking down a game leading ten made 3-point buckets
  • They led the contest with 14 assists, four steals, and just two turnovers, adding 34 rebounds
  • The game saw ten tie scores and 13 lead changes and NSU led the game with 34 points in the paint and six points off turnovers
  • Chadron State scored a game leading 44 points off the bench and shot 50.0% from the field in their second half comeback
