Wisconsin Dells, Wis. – Four Northern State University Wolves scored in double figures on Saturday against Northwest Missouri State, despite NSU falling 73-65 in the contest. The Wolves trailed by 13 at the half and came within two of the Bearcats with five minutes remaining in regulation, however a late run by NWMSU secured the game in their favor.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wolves out-shot the Bearcats 81.8 to 78.9 from the foul line and tallied seven made 3-pointers to their six in the game
- Northern however struggled with efficiency, shooting 36.4% from the floor and 26.9% from the 3-point line, while Northwest shot 48.1% from the floor and 40.0% from the 3-point line
- For the first time this season NSU out-rebounded their opponent 37-30, scoring 11 points off of 11 offensive boards
- NSU tallied 24 points in the paint and 16 points off the bench via Marshawn Smith
- NWMSU recorded 24 points in the paint, 18 points off the bench, and 13 fast break points
- In total, the Wolves notched 37 rebounds, seven made 3-pointers, nine assists, three steals, and 1 block
- Smith and Ty Rogers led the offense with 16 points a piece with the pair going a combined 12-for-21 from the field
- Cameron Mercadel and Benjamin Bowen followed with 12 points each
- Tobi Obiora led the team off the glass with nine rebounds, followed by Smith with six
- The trio of Obiora, Smith, and Joshua Book led the team dishing out two assists
- Mercadel and Rogers have scored in double figures in all four game this season and currently lead the team averaging 14.3 and 14.0 points per game respectively
