Aberdeen, S.D. – A late lead by the Northern State Baseball team led to the 11-5 win over Bemidji State Sunday afternoon. The Wolves rallied back in the sixth inning to take the win with nine hits on the day. NSU conclude the weekend with a series sweep over BSU, 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bemidji State was the first to score with two runs in the first and second innings
- Northern Stated tallied one run in the bottom of the second as Nicholas Ochoa doubled to left center to score Nick Friedges
- After three scoreless innings, the Beavers recorded three runs to lead by three
- Jack Weidner drove the ball over the left field fence to score Ochoa to trail by one in the bottom of the fifth inning
- In the bottom of the sixth, Friedges scored on a while pitch to tie the game; Brennan Phillips drove one to center field for a single that scored Andrew Wedwick
- Karson Hesser singled to right center to scored Ochoa and Jackson Meyers to take the lead in the sixth; Phillips scored on a wild pitch to lead by three
- Meyers drove the ball to left field for a single that scored Friedges in the seventh inning
- Phillips knocked one over the left field wall for a solo homerun to lead by six runs in the bottom of the eighth
- The Wolves tallied 11 runs off of 9 hits with no errors and two stolen bags
- Tyler Boyum recorded the win in 1.2 innings pitched with two strikeouts
