Prep: Tyler Boyum is a 6-foot-2, right-handed pitcher out of Washington High School. He was a 4-year letter winner and 3-year starter for the Warriors under the direction of head coach Corey Vasquez. As a prep, he earned all-region, all-state, and academic all-state honors in addition to being named a South Dakota Player of the Year finalist. In 2021 he batted over .400 with 15+ extra base hits and threw over 60 strikeouts with a sub 2.00 ERA to lead WHS to a state runner-up finish. Boyum also played for the Sioux Falls East Legion baseball team. He is the son of Raina and Kevin Boyum.
