Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University baseball team dropped game one, 15-4 against Minot State, but rallied back in game two to win, 18-8. Key situational hitting led the Beavers to the win in game one. A powerful offensive spark led the Wolves to victory in game two with 19 hits. NSU recorded 22 runs off of 23 hits on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1
- After a scoreless first inning, Minot State was the first to score in the second and third inning with six runs
- The Beavers extended their lead with two runs in the top of the fourth
- Northern State chipped away from the deficit as Nick Friedges scored on an error by the shortstop in the bottom of the fourth
- In the bottom of the fifth, Jackson Meyer scored on error by the third baseman to trail by six runs
- MISU responded back in the sixth inning with one run
- Jonah Schmidt found a gap in left field for a double that scored Jack Widner in the sixth
- As Meyers stolen second base, Jonah Schmidt scored to trail by five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning
- In the top of the seventh inning, Minot State tallied six runs to lead by 11
- The Wolves recorded four runs off of four hits with three errors and one stolen base

- Minot State was the first to score in game two off of a sacrifice fly that scored one run in the first inning
- In the second inning, Easton Rerick put Northern State on the board with a single that scored Jonah Schmidt to tie the game
- Nicholas Ochoa drove one up the middle for a single that scored Jackson Meyer and Rerick to lead by two runs in the second
- The Beaver took the lead in the third and fourth inning with seven runs
- On an error by the shortstop, Rerick scored in the fourth inning to cut the lead in half
- NSU kicked off the fifth inning with Schmidt single to center field that scored Brennan Phillips; On a bases loaded walk Karson Hesser scored; Jack Weidner scored on a balk to trail by one
- In the bottom of the seventh inning, Ochoa drove one down the left field line for a double that scored Andrew Wedwick and Rerick to take the lead
- Hesser kept the line moving with a single to left field that scored Ochoa
- Weidner drove the ball over the left field fence for a grand slam that scored Hesser, Phillips, and Nick Friedges to lead by six
- Meyer drove the ball up the middle for a single that scored Rerick and Schmidt; Friedges followed with a single up the middle that scored Meyer
- Phillips drove the ball to left field for a single that scored Ochoa to end the game in the seventh inning
