Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Jack Weidner (baseball) and Taylor Coleman (softball) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
 
Weidner hit .357 (5-for-14) in the 4-game series split against Concordia-St. Paul. He tallied seven RBIs, two doubles, one run, and one walk on the weekend. In addition, Weidner recorded a slugging percentage of .500 and an on-base percentage of .438. He connected for the game winning single in the bottom of the eleventh inning against CSP in game four. Finally, the Minnesota native was perfect on the defensive side with four put outs in the series.
 
Coleman went 6-for-15 (.400) against Winona State and Concordia-St. Paul last weekend. She tallied a pair of doubles, going 3-for-4 in game two against the Golden Bears. In addition, the freshman notched one RBI and two runs scored on the weekend. She played perfect defense with seven putouts and seven assists.
