Aberdeen, S.D. - Northern State's Jayden Munroe (men's track & field) and Renea Taylor (women's track & field) are this week's South Dakota Army National Guard Athletes of the Week following their performances last weekend.
Munroe won the long jump at the Dewey Donat Invite. He tallied a provisional mark of 7.59m, which ranks ninth in the nation in the event. The redshirt sophomore added a runner-up finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.60m. The Bahamas native ranks second in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump in the NSIC.
Taylor won the 400m hurdles at the Dewey Donat Invite. She tallied a provisional mark of 1:00.60 in the 400m hurdles and broke the facility record. The graduate student added a third place finish in the 100m hurdles, crossing the finish line in 14.21. The Washington native ranks first in the 400m hurdles and fourth in the 100m hurdles in the NSIC.
