Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams will compete from the SDSU Classic this Friday and Saturday in Brookings. Start times each day are set for 5 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday from the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• The Northern State men took four with 76.5 points, while the women took fifth with 67.5 points from the NDSU Bison Open
• The Wolves recorded a combined 22 top-10 finishes, four provisional marks, and one meet record from Fargo
• The two school records came from Renea Taylor (60m) and Mary Franssen (1000m)
• Top-5 finishers from the men included Jacob Angerhofer (5000m), Ricardo Chase (5000m), Josh Martin (1000m, mile), Jackson Harrison (3000m), Glen Quayle (pole vault), Sam Tremelling (pole vault)
• Jacob Angerhofer won the 5000m, while Josh Martin won the 1000m
• Top-5 finishers for the women included Jenna Helms (5000m), Kenzie Hamann (5000m), Renea Taylor (200m, 60m, 400m), Kyanna Collymore (200m), Kenzee Danielson (pole vault), Morgan Sheldon (high jump), and Sierra Sweeney (triple jump)

 
SCHOOL RECORD WATCH

• Renea Taylor re-broke her own indoor school record in the 60m at the NDSU Bison Open, crossing the finish line in 7.56
• Josh Martin knocked down Matt Walberg's 2006 indoor mile record in the opening meet of the season, racing to a national provisional time of 4:10.18
• Jackson Harrison knocked down his own school record in the 3000m with a time of 8:21.28 at SDSU
• Mary Franssen also re-broke her own school record in the 1000m with a time of 2:59.536 at NDSU

 
WOLVES IN THE TOP-25 NATIONALLY

• Renea Taylor sits 19th in the 200m with a provisional time of 24.63 and 22nd in the 60m with a provisional time of 7.56
• Glen Quayle sits in the top-25 of the pole vault at number 21 with a 4.85m provisional mark jump
