Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Northern State University swimming team ended day two of the USF Quad Dual falling to Sioux Falls (157-50), MSU Moorhead (120-86), and Augustana (160-57). Northern drops to 3-7 overall in dual competition this season. In addition, the Wolves recorded six top-5 finishes.
WOLVES HIGHLIGHTS
- Northern State started the day off with a seventh place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:55.61 from the team of Maddie Gonzales, Emma Beavers, Lilly Grebner, and Guusje Van Lent
- After the first two events, Haley Osborne took second place in the 200 free, hitting the wall at 1:57.05
- In the 50 free, Van Lent claimed a fifth place finish with a time of 25.20, followed by Mia Fursedonne in eighth at 25.81
- Lilly Grebner added a second place finish in the 400 IM with a time of 4:43.77
- Jacie Flockhart returned to the diving board in the 1-meter, recording a fifth place finish with a score of 194.80
- Grebner added a runner-up finish in the 200 fly, with a time of 2:10.40; while Annalise Olsson took 11th in the 100 free hitting the wall at 57.53
- Osborne tallied a third place mark in the 500 free with a time of 5:25.89, followed by Ali Jones in tenth with a time of 6:07.57
- In the 200 breast, Beavers tallied a tenth place finish hitting the wall at 2:45.91
- The Wolves finished the day with a sixth place finish in the 400 free relay, the team of Fursedonne, Liddle, Osborne, and Van Lent hit the wall at 3:45.49
