LEXINGTON, KY — The United States Marine Corps and the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced today the 2021-22 USMC/AVCA Team Academic Awards. The Northern State University women tallied both the team academic award and the honor roll distinction.
 
The award, initiated in the 1992–93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale. The honor roll distinction is given to team's in the top 20% of their division based off GPA.
 
Northern State posted a 3.80 team grade point average for the 2021-22 academic year. The honor is the ninth straight for the Northern State Wolves.
