Indianapolis – The NCAA released today the selections for the 2022 Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, with Northern State graduate student
Tanner Berg earning a bid. Berg will compete for the Wolves in the hammer throw, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. (CT) on Thursday, May 26. The 2022 DII outdoor track & field championships are from May 26-28 at Grand Valley State Track and Field Stadium in Allendale, Mich.
The Watertown, S.D. native enters the championships with the top throw in the nation of 70.54m. The mark is also a Northern State school record. Berg was crowned the NSIC Champion in the event last weekend and was an All-American in the event a season ago. He took fifth at the 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a 65.83m toss.
