Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University track and field teams closed out the NSIC Outdoor Championships on Saturday from Swisher Activities Complex taking fourth on the men's side with 73 points and 11
th on the women's side with 28 points. In addition, Northern recorded two conference championships and four all-conference performances.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Chase Domier tallied one team point, taking eighth in the 400m with a time of 51.07
- Luke Schroeder had an outstanding day for NSU finishing third in the 110m hurdles and following that up with a conference championship in the 400m hurdles
- The freshman tallied times of 14.64 in the 110m hurdles and 53.61 in the 400m hurdles
- Jackson Harrison ran to a fourth place finish in the 5000m, crossing the finish line in 14:54.64
- Glen Quayle and Sam Tremelling opened Saturday competition for NSU taking third and fifth in the pole vault with marks of 4.98m (provisional mark) and 4.78m respectively; Quayle was awarded all-conference accolades for the finish
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Rachel Guthmiller won the team's first conference championship of the day in the javelin, throwing a provisional mark of 44.37m
