Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team will close out the front half of their season schedule with a trip to the Augustana Invitational this week. The 3-day invite will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls.

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

• Northern State will be competing in their first invitational of the season, having posted a 7-6 dual meet record up to this point in the season
• The Wolves defeated UMary 144-118 in their last outing on October 29
• Northern set 13 season-best times in the win over the Marauders, including Mayson Sheldon in the 50 yard breaststroke (32.41) and Lauren Forsyth in the 50 yard butterfly (27.13) who won their respective events
• Hannah Kiernan who finished third in the 100 yard IM (1:07.82) and Delaney Ryken who finished third in the 50 yard freestyle (28.39), both set new personal best marks in the final home meet of the season
• Through seven meets this season Northern has claimed 27 individual wins, 66 individual top-3 finishes, and seven relay wins
• With two event wins against UMary, Lilly Grebner now has 13 individual wins and 13 top-3 finishes this season; Grebner has won all 13 individual events she has competed in this season
• Other NSU swimmers to win individual events this season include Haley Osborne (4), Maddie Gonzales (3), Mayson Sheldon (2), Lauren Forsyth (2) Delaney Ryken (1), Hannah Rodts (1), Brianna Back (1)
• Grebner currently ranks first in the NSIC in four different events, the 200 yard butterfly (2:09.85), 100 yard IM (59.03), 200 yard IM (2:08.48), and 400 yard IM (4:36.97); Grebner also ranks within the top-10 of five other events
• Grebner ranks second in NCAA Division II in the 100 yard IM (59.03), 15^th in the 200 yard IM (2:08.48), and 24^th in the 400 yard IM (4:36.97)
• Forsyth currently ranks third in the NSIC in the 50 yard butterfly (27.13), 11^th in the 100 yard butterfly (59.92), and 12^th in the 200 yard butterfly (2:19.29)
• Three other Wolves currently rank within the top-15 of the NSIC, Gonzales ranks tenth in the 200 yard backstroke (2:12.96), Sheldon ranks 12^th in the 50 yard breaststroke (32.41), and Rodts ranks 14^th in the 1,650 yard freestyle (19:48.84)
