Fan Primer: Wolves Welcome Top-25 NSIC Foes

Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State University volleyball team will close out their regular season home slate this Friday and Saturday against No. 4 Minnesota Duluth and No. 7 St. Cloud State. Match start times are set for 6 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Game Specific Promotions

  • Fans can participate in Friday's Volloween versus the Bulldogs
    • All fans in a Halloween costume will be admitted for free
    • Kids trick-or-treating will take place after the match
  • Northern State volleyball will honor their seniors on Saturday in their last match from Wachs Arena

 

Online Ticketing

Wolves Club season tickets and general admission passes can be purchased online at nsuwolves.universitytickets.com or at the gate on game day. The fully automated system allows fans to select their seat for game day with tickets sent directly to your email or mobile device. Pricing for season and single game tickets is available at nsuwolves.com/tickets. Senior and youth tickets are only available for purchase at the gate on game days. All game day ticket sales will be available at the main entrance to Wachs Arena inside the Barnett Center for volleyball.

Current Northern State University students will receive one free ticket to all home sporting events throughout the 2022-23 academic. Information on how to claim student tickets will be distributed via email. 

 

Entrances to the Facility & Gate Opening Times

While the Barnett Center as numerous entrances to the facility, fans should enter through the main north doors on game day. The ticket gate, located in the Barnett Center lobby, will open one hour prior to first serve for all general admission and same day ticket sales. Individuals included in the Northern State passbook must sign in via the far right line at the main gate.  There is no re-entry into the facility.

 

Parking

Parking for all home Northern State volleyball contests is free for all fans in the Barnett Center main lot. Please note that the Barnett Center lot is used as a paid tailgating lot during all Northern State football home contests. On dates where football and volleyball coincide free and paid parking will be clearly marked for all fans. 

 

Concessions and Team Store

The Northern State concession stands are operated by Sodexo and offer a wide range of options for fans of all ages. Enjoy an ice-cold Coca-Cola product, bite into a soft pretzel with cheese, a world famous Wolf dog, or walking taco. Don’t forget to grab a freshly made popcorn or batch of Wisconsin cheese curds from one of the concession stands near you at all home Wolves athletic events. In addition, Sodexo supports local non-profits through a variety of opportunities. Contact NSU Dining Services at 605-626-2928 to learn more. 

The NSU Nike Team Store will be open in its main Barnett Center location on game day. The Barnett Center location opens one hour prior to first serve for all home contests. 

NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES

  • The Wolves enter the weekend with a 15-9 record overall and 10-6 mark in the NSIC, sitting sixth in the league standings
  • Northern is hitting .250 this season, averaging 13.2 kills, 12.3 assists, 14.8 digs, 1.7 aces, and 2.2 blocks per set
  • Sally Gaul leads the offense with 293 kills, averaging 3.81 per set, while Cara Cyr is hitting a team best .319 this season
  • Keri Walker sits second in the NSIC in assists per set, totaling 850 assists this season
  • Madison Langlie is the defensive leader for the Wolves with 334 digs, averaging 4.34 per set
  • Abby Brooks leads the team at the net with 82.0 total blocks, averaging 1.17 per set
  • Gaul and Langlie lead the Wolves with 25 service aces apiece

 

#4 MINNESOTA DULUTH STORYLINES

  • Duluth holds a 22-2 record overall and 14-2 mark in the NSIC, sitting third in the league standings
  • The Bulldogs are hitting .258 this season, averaging 14.4 kills, 13.4 assists, 14.7 digs, 1.8 aces, and 2.1 blocks per set
  • Four hitters have over 200 kills this season, led by Cianna Selbitschka with 271, averaging 3.30 per set
  • Madison Gordon has nearly 1000 assists this season, averaging 11.28 per set
  • Kaylyn Madison leads the team on defense with 357 total digs, averaging 4.06 per set
  • Grace Daak is the leader at the net with 95.0 blocks, averaging 1.08 per set
  • The Bulldogs are led by head coach Jim Boos in his 21st season at the helm
