Aberdeen, S.D. – Northern volleyball starts the conference season off hot as they get their second straight NSIC win Saturday. The Wolves battled through three hard-fought sets with a late-game comeback to slay the Dragons.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State triumphed over MSU Moorhead in straight sets with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 27-25
- The Wolves hit .342 as a team with 50 kills, 48 assists, 64 digs, and five service aces
- Defensively, Northern held Moorhead to a .217 attack percentage and forced 14 errors
- With the score tied at 20-20 in the first set, a Katelyn Schroeder kill spurred a 4-0 run to go ahead 24-20
- A 7-0 run at the end of the second secured the set for the Wolves 25-17
- Down 18-24 in the third set, NSU scored seven unanswered, and nine of the last 10 points to storm back and get the win
- Linnea Nesheim topped the team with 20 total points; she recorded 18 kills, 9 digs, 2 block assists, and an ace while hitting .471
- Schroeder was next in line with 12 total points from 10 kills, 2 block assists, and an ace
- On defense, Ashley Yost (18) and Ava Nilsson (15) led the way for the Wolves in digs; Nilsson also racked up 45 of the team's 48 assists on the day
