Aberdeen, S.D. – The Northern State swim team earned a pair of dual victories in their final home meet of the season, defeating Southwest Minnesota State 128-92 and Concordia-St. Paul 150-42. The two victories for the Wolves were highlighted by a relay win, five individual event wins, and 12 individual top-3 finishes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northern State got off to a strong start to the meet with first and second place finishes in the 400 yard medley relay, the winning team of Maddie Gonzales, Mayson Sheldon, Lauren Forsyth, and Brianna Back finished seven seconds ahead of second place with a time of 4:11.32
- Fanny Legros led the Wolves with a second place finish in the 1000 yard freestyle in a time of 11:15.12
- Haley Osborne earned a victory in the 200 yard freestyle, hitting the wall in a time of 1:59.21
- Connor Doran was the top Northern finisher in the 50 yard freestyle, earning a second place finish with a time of 25.69
- Forsyth claimed a victory in the 100 yard IM in a time of 1:03.57
- Forsyth captured her second event win of the night in the 200 yard butterfly, with a time of 2:18.06; Hannah Kiernan came in second place in the event, hitting the wall in a time of 2:24.52
- Osborne swam to a second place finish in the 100 yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 55.11
- Gonzales earned another victory for Northern State in the 200 yard backstroke, coming in with a time of 2:11.27; Mia Fursedonne claimed a third place finish in the event with a time of 2:17.81
- Legros earned a second consecutive victory for the Wolves in the meet, this one coming in the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 5:29.38; Kiernan captured another top-3 finish with a time of 5:41.40 in the event
- Sheldon, Legros, and Delanee Grier earned third through fifth place respectively in the 200 yard backstroke, finishing in times of 2:37.29, 2:38.85, and 2:40.22
- The Wolves ended the night with second and third place finishes in the 400 yard freestyle relay, the team of Delaney Ryken, Back, Doran, and Osborne hit the wall in a time of 3:45.75 to lead the way for NSU

The Northern State swim team closes their dual meet season with a record of 4-4 overall and 3-4 against NSIC competition. They will have over a week to prepare for the NSIC Championships taking place in Sioux Falls, February 9-12.
