No. 21 Wolves and No. 8 Rangers Face Off This Friday

Aberdeen, S.D. – The No. 21 Northern State University wrestling team will host No. 8 Wisconsin Parkside on Friday evening. The dual will begin at 7 p.m. in Wachs Arena with three extra matches scheduled prior.

  • Students that attend home NSU wrestling duals and have their ticket scanned will be entered into an $8,000 2022 fall scholarship raffle courtesy of Chrystal's Bar in Redfield
NORTHERN STATE STORYLINES  
WISCONSIN PARKSIDE STORYLINES
  • Parkside enters the weekend with a 2-2 record overall and 2-1 mark in the NSIC with their league loss coming against St. Cloud State
  • UWP is currently ranked eighth in the country with four wrestlers ranked in their respective weights
  • The nationally ranked Rangers include No. 3 Joe Arroyo (125), No. 3 Shane Gantz (165), No. 6 Job Ayala (174), and No. 9 Rodsean Graham (197)
  • Gantz is undefeated this season, holding a 21-0 recording, while Job Ayala and Joe Arroyo are 19-3 and 8-1 respectively
  • The Rangers are led by head coach Nick Becker in his first season at the helm
